我们中华文化有十二生肖的概念。我们的祖先选择了最接近我们日常生活和社会生活的12种动物，每年循环，这12种动物分别是老鼠、牛、老虎、兔子、龙、蛇、马、羊、猴子、鸡、狗和猪。

马上就要到牛的春节了，也许你还记得英语里我们学了很多关于牛的单词。例如Cow奶牛、Ox/Bull牛、Buffalo水牛、Rhino犀牛。那么，英语中的“牛年”应该用什么英语单词来表达呢？

答案是Ox。那么Year of the Ox就意味着牛年。

如果你想问别人是什么属相，该怎么问？

例如：

A:你属于什么？

what is your Chinese zodiac/animal sign？

B:我是牛。

I was born in the Year of the Ox。

答案如下。
