spread v. 传播，扩散；分布

在英一英二中共出现过9次 。在历年题中是这样出现的：

Then there’s the fact that large American companies are much more globalized than ever before, with supply chains spread across a larger number of countries.（2020 英二）

而且，随着供应链拓展到更多的国家，美国大公司比以前更加全球化了。


Positive health habits spread through networks of friends via social communication.（2012 英一）

积极的健康习惯会通过社交网络在朋友圈中传播。


rip v. 撕扯，这里想讲的并不单单这个词，而是这个词的两种表达：


01. rip off 利用；诈骗；割韭菜，这个表达在2020年英二中出现过，


The common idea that high CEO pay is mainly about ripping people off doesn’t explain history very well.（2020 英二）

CEO的高薪来源于割老百姓的“韭菜”，这种大众说法并不能合理解释CEO薪酬多年来水涨船高的原因。


02. let rip 放任不管，我们一起来看一下这个表达在考试中的用法吧：


Development should be planned, not let rip.

发展应该有计划，而不是放任自流。


sense n. 感官；感觉；意义；理解力，这个词大家应该熟悉得不能再熟悉了，它在英一英二考试中共出现过 17 次。我们一起来看一下例句：


CEOs must have a good sense of financial markets and maybe even how the company should trade in them. （2020 英二）

首席执行官们必须对金融市场了如指掌，甚至知道公司应该如何在市场中交易。


这个词还可以拓展两个常用的表达：


01. common sense 常识


That common-sense change enjoys wide public support. （2018 英一）

02. a sixth sense 第六感


We have a sixth sense for dishonesty that may protect us. （2019 英二）

我们的第六感可以保护我们不受欺骗行为的伤害。


corperation n. 公司，这个词，共在考试中出现 8 次。
