现实生活中，多数人也是看不懂艺术品的，毕竟隔行如隔山，没有经过艺术方面的培训和研习是很难看得明白。

但就故事中作者所述，一幅画，尤其是抽象画，其实没有什么特指，有时候就是作者的一种情绪表达，一般观众确实很难明白作者到底想表达什么。

但是，就是有一些不懂装懂的人士，有钱以后附庸风雅，买一些名人字画挂在家中充面子，因为不懂，常常会弄错作者，张冠李戴，有把画挂倒的，有对联不分上下联的，闹出很多笑话。

第27课 A wet night

1、Late in the afternoon, the boys put up their tent in the middle of a field.

late in the afternoon 傍晚时分

early in the morning 一大早

put up 此句中意思是搭建、支起

put up 还有其他解释，看句子的具体情况：

Put up your hands, please. 举起

Could you put me up for two nights? 为......提供住宿

He's putting up his computer for sale. 出售

2、As soon as this was done, they cooked a meal over an open fire.

as soon as 一......就......, 后面连接一个从句

this 指代put up their tent 这件事

an open fire 一堆篝火，这里open是露天的意思

open market 露天集市

3、They were all hungry and the food smelled good.

smelled good 闻起来很香，smell 做连系动词，英文中跟感观有关的动词可以用做连系动词，后面直接跟形容词。

4、The boys felt tired so they put out the fire and crept into their tent.

put out 熄灭

5、Two boys woke up and began shouting.

wake up 醒来

awake 醒着

6、The stream wound its way across the field and then flowed right under their tent!

wound 是wind 的过去式，弯曲，蜿蜒

He winds the clock every day. 此句中wind 指给钟表上发条

right 正好，就怎么样，起强调作用
